Love high places and nature? Perfect! Trek or drive to the top of the Patkai View Point where travelers are treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of the bustling town of Chumukedima beneath it.

Rev. CD King Memorial cross

Located just up ahead of Patkai View Point is the historical landmark, the Reverend CD King Memorial Cross. It’s a massive cross that was erected by the Chumukedima Village Baptist Church in 2010, strictly to honor the memory of the First American Baptist Missionary that graced the land on the 27th of June, 1875.

The spot also serves as a viewpoint, offering majestic views of both Chumukedima town and Dimapur.

Note: Locals often camp there to watch the perfect sight of the sun rise and set.

The Triple Falls

Next up is the Triple Falls located deep inside the lush tropical jungle of Seithekema, a small village in the district of Chumukedima. As the name suggests, the main attraction is the three natural streams that fall from a height of 280 ft, that graciously meet below in the same natural pool.

Surrounded by nature, take an adventurous trek, experience the serene beauty and atmosphere of the wilderness, take a dip in the natural pool, and rejuvenate yourself before your next destination.

Nagaland Zoological Park

Might we interest you fellow travelers in experiencing and seeing a portion of the fauna that exists in our beautiful state of Nagaland? Opened for the public since August 2008, the Nagaland Zoological Park is located at Rangapahar in the district of Chumukedima.

The park spans 176 hectares of land– is surrounded by trees, and is the biggest zoo in Nagaland. From various animals such as tigers, Gibbons, and Emus to one of the state’s favorites, the Great Hornbill, Zoological Park is a must-visit destination if you’re ever in Chumukedima.

Home to the people of the Dimasa tribe in Nagaland, Dhansiripar is a small town in Chumukedima that borders Assam.

If you’re wondering why we’ve added this town to the list, it’s simply because Dhansiripar hosts some of the most beautiful destinations for travelers who seek peak relaxation with a smear of adventure.

With myriads of picnics and camping spots such as the Raben Picnic Resort, Let’s Hideaway Resort, the CoCo Picnic and Camping site, etc., to numerous spots perfect for angling, Dhansiripar is a place you don’t want to miss out on.

Last but not least, a popular recreational destination that we highly urge travelers to visit while in Chumukedima is the Green Park Adventure.

Quick note, the park has been recently renovated and has added entertainment such as an ATV track, net climbing, zip-lining, cycling, playground for kids, shooting range, and several other features.

However, if you’re rather interested in nature, as the name suggests, the entire park is surrounded by luscious greens, just waiting for you to explore. It offers a tranquil atmosphere for those tired souls in seek of exhilaration.
