The entire village is governed by the Angh, the traditional chief, who oversees the affairs of the village despite its division between India and Myanmar. This leadership structure reflects the strong cultural ties and unity among the villagers, transcending national boundaries.

Adding to the village’s charm are the four rivers that flow through Longwa, with two rivers located in India and the other two in Myanmar. The sight of these rivers meandering through the landscape is truly breathtaking, offering stunning views and a serene environment.

The convergence of these natural features, along with the rich cultural tapestry of Longwa, makes it a captivating destination for visitors seeking to explore the unique heritage and beauty of this border village.
